Monument Park Brick Pavers

Monument Park is a small park, located on 23rd Avenue between Fourth and Front streets, a historic urban space that had become overgrown and dilapidated. At the mayor's urging, the EMBDC Image Committee took on the renovation as a beautification project of downtown Meridian. Through city workers and a series of work days involving community volunteers, the park took shape. The fountain in the center of the park features a cog from Soule Steam Works. It is to represent part of Meridian's heritage. Surrounding the fountain are bricks that will be continually sold for engraving.

The Brick Paver Program allows for one to reserve a brick with inscriptions that may include one's name or the names of loved ones, friends, neighbors and co-workers to the list of those who hold downtown Meridian dear. The brick pavers will be installed, as ordered, in Monument Park. These bricks bring a personal touch to a newly renovated urban resting spot.

Profits from the Brick Paver Program will supplement continued renovation and maintenance for Monument Park.
