Young Professionals Announces 2009-2010 Officers

The Young Professionals of Meridian announce the 2009-2010 officers. Derron Radcliff of the MSU Riley Center will serve as President, Josh Water of Waters International will serve as Vice President, Danielle Winningham of East Mississippi Business Development Corporation will serve as Secretary, Brandon Pratt of Community Bank will serve as Treasurer and Chad Vaughn of The Service Company will serve as the Immediate Past President. This group of newly elected officers will also serve as the Executive Committee of YPM.
The goal of Young Professionals of Meridian is to provide a proactive and collective voice for young professionals through social interaction and community involvement. There are strategic initiatives that the group uses to ensure this goal is accomplished. For example, each month YPM hosts meetings and socials where professional men and women between the ages of 21-39 gather to share ideas and develop professionally. Additionally, the group coordinates and executes two major fundraisers, a beignet breakfast and a luau, to benefit local charities and a golf tournament to raise scholarship money for local college students. Political forums are also coordinated by YPM in order to bring awareness to the importance the younger generation plays in the political realm.
Monthly meetings are held on the third Monday of each month in the private dining room at Anderson Regional Medical Center Cafeteria at 12:00 p.m. If you would like to know when additional events will take place or if you are interested in becoming a member of the Young Professionals of Meridian, please contact Danielle Winningham at dwinningham@embdc.org or (601) 693-1306.
