Calling All Do It Yourselfers!!!  For 90 years, Ace Hardware has been helping DIY and commercial customers find the products they need. They offer a full line of hardware items, and if what you need is not in the store, they have access to multiple warehouses.  Literally tens of thousands of items are available, and they can have them the very next day.  Because the personal mission at Ace Hardware is to provide amazing customer service, the first thing you hear when you walk in their store is, “How can I help you?”  “What can I help you find?” 

The local Ace Hardware opened about two years ago in Broadmoor Shopping Center.  Their number one mission is to help their customers.  Whether you’re fixing an item in your home or starting a project at work, Ace employees have experience and the know how to help!

If you’re one of those people who are not quite so handy, you can get on-site help with things such as glass cutting, repairing screen doors, or getting keys made for cars and houses.  A wide range of services is available and they offer same day delivery on many of their items.

“My family has been in retail here in Meridian for 50 years.  Meridian is home and it’s the people of Meridian that I love so much.  If I’ve been out of town for an extended period of time, I find myself wanting to go in the local stores and bump into people just to say hello, catch up and reconnect.  That’s why I chose to open Ace,” says David Majure.  He adds, “Their mission is to help people and I like that.  Some people come in the store every day.  I take that as a tremendous compliment because we are trying to provide a friendly, helpful environment; one where everyone feels welcome.”

“If you are thinking of starting your own business, choose something you are passionate about because there are going to be difficult moments and if you don’t love it, you might not make it through those hard times,” says David.  “And join the Chamber.  We are all better together and the more we can work together to improve and grow our community, the better standard of living we will all see.  I think the EMBDC has Meridian and East Mississippi well positioned for future growth and we are going to see that growth.  It is going to happen.”
