Davis Purdy Architects

Architects are that perfect blend of artist and scientist.  They must design buildings that are pleasing to the eye, make the best use of your space, and are the right combination of creativity, uniqueness and balance. 

Davis Purdy is a full service architecture firm established in late July, 2018.  They do commercial and residential architecture. Their company may only be a year old, but they have 28 years of combined experience.  Mark Davis and John Purdy have known each other since middle school and even went to architecture school together.  They had talked about starting a business together since then and got to a point in their careers where they had the flexibility to go out on their own, and they did!  They both left Meridian and worked at big firms in big cities on big projects, and they bring that experience back to Meridian.  John came back to Meridian from Atlanta in 2008 and Mark left Washington, DC, in 2011 to come back home and work on the Mississippi Arts and Entertainment Experience.  They bring new and ambitious ideas in terms of what Meridian can be and how they can help. 

“We want to see our hometown flourish and come into its own.  There is so much potential here.  I think the business community is starting to realize that potential.  We, at Davis Purdy, want to have a part in seeing new development and growth.  Just being involved in the improvement of the city is very exciting,” says Mark.  

They are a young firm, fun and energetic, and are definitely pushing the envelope in innovation, technology and design.  They can provide an immersive virtual reality experience giving you an exciting look at what your finished product could be.  They have a vast range of product types, anything from residential to a 70,000 square foot facility and everything in between. 

“We joined the Chamber because the EMBDC has a common goal of improving the business environment in Meridian.  We want to do our part in helping promote business in the area because whether it’s our business or someone else’s, we all benefit.  We believe in a responsibility to our community as we maintain the integrity of the history of place while creating spaces that project modern ingenuity and function for centuries to come.  We know we have done a job well when a customer tells us that the drawings were exactly what they were looking for and that everything worked accordingly,” says Mark.
