Deaconess Home Care

Are you a baby boomer? Then chances are you will be in need of home health care over the next few decades, and you want to be in the best hands possible. Some agencies offer only skilled medical services, others provide non-medical care, and some offer both. Deaconess Home Care is passionately committed to making healthcare better every day by leading the industry in clinical excellence and service quality.
Under the direct supervision of the referring physician, Deaconess works to design a specific plan to help those in their care achieve the best possible health – in the comfort of their own home. Their services include physical and occupational therapy, speech therapy, Alzheimer and dementia care, chronic disease management, fall prevention and heart disease, among many others. Generally, Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance will cover the cost of home health services.
In many ways, 2018 was the coming of age for the home care industry, as it steadily became recognized as a key part of the overall continuum of care due to its ability to keep older adults safely at
home and out of the hospital. Deaconess knows the people they serve, tailors their healthcare for them and understands their needs. Sadly, sometimes their therapist is the only person a patient sees that day.
“As a healthcare organization, we want to be involved in the community and help educate the community on health and wellness resources. That’s why we’re a member of EMBDC,” says Office Manager, Lynn Harwell. “We empower our clinicians and staff to embrace the communities they serve, because the best care happens in the context of strong relationships. We are committed to serving our friends, neighbors, and communities in southern Mississippi with quality home healthcare. It’s all about helping people.”
