Felicia Pigg, manager of Elite Flooring, is incredibly knowledgeable and has lots of experience helping owners make flooring decisions. 

Felicia first approached Ashley Sims and her dad, Donnie Massey, about starting a flooring company in May 2020. “We had thought about it in the past and never acted upon it. But with Felicia’s experience and our construction experience, we made the decision to start the business. We found the building on Hwy 39, put everything together and made it happen. It was a lot of work, trying to make sure we had everything for commercial and residential needs. We officially opened the second week of September with great products and great reps who continue to help us keep everything up to date,” says Ashley.

 

 

Staying trendy is huge in the flooring business because people use Pinterest and other media to find products and ideas. Elite Flooring makes sure they have the newest products to offer their customers with a wide variety of prices and services. They can sell the product and install it as well. People come in and have an idea of what they want or have seen, so being able to fully meet customers’ needs is the goal.

With a completely remodeled showroom filled with top-of-the-line tile, carpet, and wood flooring, customers love to come in and consult with the designers at Elite Flooring. With over 30 years of combined experience between Felicia and Ashley, customers happily come back and use them again or recommend them to other people. Ashley advises new business owners, “Keep pushing towards your goal and your dream. Take help from people who are experienced and have done it before. And connect with the community through the chamber. We need the support of others and need to be able to reach out for help.”
