Greater Meridian Health Clinic, Inc. is a community-based, Joint Commission accredited, private, not-for-profit, federally qualified health center. It opened its doors in Lauderdale County in 1986. GMHC, Inc.’s mission has and will continue to be providing residents of this and neighboring communities with quality health care. Their mission remains constant in our ever-changing society: To provide quality primary care services, through a community/user-based organization for a population which faces significant access barriers to the healthcare system in an environment that preserves human dignity and cultural sensitivity.

Greater Meridian Health Clinic, Inc., has 10 locations, including school-based clinics, and a MAC Unit that serves the community. They emphasize quality care with great customer service. This is a health care center funded by the federal government. This means even if you have no insurance, you can be covered. The center is also income based for those with an income. This health center can cover services such as checkups, treatment, pregnancy care, immunizations, and prescription medicine. As methods of payment, they accept private insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, most credit cards, and cash. Appointments are preferred, and walk-ins are accepted.
