Home Instead Senior Care

Home Instead Senior Care opened in Meridian three years ago offering services that keep a senior adult living efficiently.  Their motto; “to us it’s personal”.  Home Instead was established as a company 25 years ago, providing companion and home helper services.  This includes personal services such as bathing, dressing, mobility assistance, Alzheimer’s or dementia help, transitional care; hospital discharge help, prescription pick up, and hospice support.  Home Care is different than Home Health.  The services they provide can be used on an as needed basis.  The services offered aren’t just at someone’s home, sometimes it’s at a nursing home or hospital.  It helps the client, but it also helps the families. 

Charissa and Ben Shirley both grew up in Meridian/Lauderdale Co and opened this business because they knew there were limited providers for Senior Care in the area.  They employ 120 people and their employees can pick the days and times to work that best fit their schedules.  One of the fun things they do is host ‘Santa to a Senior’ in winter and are always amazed at the outpouring of love the community shows to those less fortunate. 
When they opened their business, they knew that one of the first things they would do is join the Chamber.  They wanted to be involved in the community because when people see you giving back to the community, they give, too.  When you join the chamber, it helps your business grow.
