In addition to traditional arrangements, Honeysuckles prides themselves on their stylized designs and offer a range of unique floral blooms. Custom arrangements are a way for them to best reflect each recipient. They often get compliments about how unique and out of the box their floral designs and tastes are.
“Before Honeysuckles was established in November 2021, it had always been a dream and a goal for us to open our own florist,” says Kailie and Kelsey Dunlap, Owners. “We founded our business on our love for flowers and wanted to share our passion with the Meridian community. Without God’s hand guiding us on this new chapter of our lives, Honeysuckles would not be possible. We definitely give Him all the glory for our success and are using our shop as a vessel to spread His love.”
Kailie has a Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture with a concentration in Floral Design and Kelsey has her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Both women are currently finishing up the MBA program at Mississippi State University Meridian branch. Kailie and Kelsey have been working in the floral .jpg)
industry for over 13 years. Kailie has managed multiple florists including The University Florist at Mississippi State University while she was a student in Starkville. She has won multiple floral design competitions during her career in the floral industry.
They give this advice, “When starting a new business, prayer, patience, and preparation are the keys. There are going to be bumps throughout the whole process, but do not get discouraged and keep your eyes on your goal. Join the Chamber to connect, get advice, and support other small businesses.”
“Being able to give back to the community we were raised in brings us joy.
