Keep Life Flowing!

KEDPLASMA USA collected the first unit of covid-19 convalescent plasma and supplied the plasma to Kedrion Biopharma to develop a potential anti-COVID immune globulin therapy.  If proven to be effective, the therapy will be used to treat those infected with the coronavirus.  “We are proud to be collecting this very special plasma during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Helen Nasser, KEDPLASMA USA Managing Director. “The unselfish act of donating lifesaving plasma is treasured each day, but especially during this difficult coronavirus period.”

Many people are familiar with the benefits and the process of blood donation; however, few people understand the importance of plasma donation.  Plasma plays the critical role of maintaining a healthy blood pressure, blood volume and a proper pH balance.  Without plasma, our body would not be supplied with many of the proteins that are necessary to support blood clotting and our immune system responses.  In addition, plasma carries many of the electrolytes that our muscles need to function properly and support the activities of daily living.

Blood donation is safe, easy and compensation is available.  Since 2004, KEDPLASMA of Meridian has made an impact for those in need.  “Customers tell us often that they feel good knowing their blood donations help deserving patients live a more normal life,” says Cheryl Carr, Marketing & Donor Relations Director.  “In addition to competitive compensation, we have superior customer service and beautiful facilities.  We appreciate our donors and do all we can to communicate that to them with every interaction.”

The therapies derived from plasma help people suffering from debilitating conditions like Hemophilia and immune Deficiencies.  KEDPLASMA is proud to work with generous donors who give to help others.  KEDPLASMA USA, Keep Life Flowing.
