MCC’s 300+ member faculty, serves over 3400 college credit students and another 7000 in continuing education, community service, and enrichment programs.  MCC student athletes carry a strong tradition of excellence; both on the field and in the classroom.  Every sport boasts academic All-Americans and the College has garnered the Halbrook Award for having the top student athlete graduation rate among Mississippi community colleges.  The MCC Foundation provides the opportunity for all current graduates of accredited high schools and home schools in Meridian and Lauderdale County to take advantage of its Tuition Guarantee Program for four semesters of study at MCC.

“We are a fundamental part of opportunities for growth in this county.  We fully embrace our role as an educational partner.  Seeing transformations in individuals means new opportunities for families and avenues for growth in our community” says President Tom Huebner.  “We enjoy our relationship with our partners and colleagues we have met through EMBDC and look forward to strengthening those partnerships, as well as creating new ones.  We encourage new and current business owners to take advantage of opportunities for training, education and support afforded by Meridian Community College.”

Success for MCC students varies with each individual.  Getting a GED may mean success for one individual, while finishing nursing school is another individual’s success.  Another’s is graduating here and continuing their education at a university.  Meridian Community College is in the business of changing lives.  And, they do.
