They started out as a print shop. Founded in Nashville around 1950, they became known as a copier company. They soon realized that if a copier was the only thing in the office for their customers, they could be replaced. They needed to play a bigger role. “Probably what makes us unique is that even though we’re a big company, we can offer local service. When COVID happened, we were able to offer financial strategy choices, and work with our customers on their invoices. We wanted to do everything we could to help our customers and support our company,” says Drew Greene, Account Executive. 

“We soon discovered that it’s important in this community that you earn the trust of the people you are talking to. I grew up outside of Jackson and learned what people value. I appreciate the way the local community emphasizes their trust in the people they do business with. They want a familiar face. EMBDC offered an entrance into that community. We became a member because we wanted to be involved in the local business promotions and activities, and wanted to build relationships with other business people.”

He added, “What my job has taught me is that whatever problem comes up, it’s my responsibility to try to solve it. All business owners know the same thing. Be flexible and open to learning new things, accepting the fact you don’t know everything. Find people willing to teach and mentor you and be willing to learn.”
