In 1955, DW Carr and his wife, son and daughter-in-law, started operating a new business known as the Red Hot Truck Stop!  It included a repair shop, fueling stations, restaurant and bunkhouse for the truckers.  By 1969, Mr. Carr needed a reliable and dependable source of parts and supplies for his repair shop and Truckers’ Supply was founded.  Today TSC is a major supplier of heavy duty truck parts, accessories, industrial supplies, and shop equipment, serving East MS and West AL for over 50 years.  Truckers Supply is home owned and operated by the same Carr family that started the Red Hot Truck Stop.  Now in their fourth generation, the Carr Family continues conducting business with the philosophy that excellent customer service is the lifeblood of any business. 

“Not only do we have a very large inventory of products to offer our customers, we also try to provide the kind of ‘old school’ customer service that is becoming harder to find,” says David Carr, VP.  Heavy duty truck parts, shop equipment, hand tools, power tools, shop supplies, pressure washers, and cleaning chemicals, can be found at Truckers’ Supply.  They stock the top names in truck parts and pride themselves in carrying those hard to find items.  Generators, air compressors, heaters, trailer parts, engines, water pumps, Yeti coolers, Streamlight flashlights, old style gas cans and many other industrial products are in stock. 

“We buy from over 100 different vendors in an effort to supply the diverse mix of products that our clients need,” says David.  “We appreciate our customers because they are the reason for our continued success. To be successful in business, you must work hard, treat people fairly, but don’t be afraid to make a profit.  The best phone calls you get are when customers call to let you know about a positive encounter with one of your employees.  It helps your business to be a member of the chamber, because it gives you a real sense of community with other business owners," he continues.  “When you have lived and worked in a community as long as we have, you are part of the history of that place, and your customers become your friends.”
