UIU’s reputation grows from their unique course offerings, online learning programs, affordability, and the success stories of their alumni. Their dedication to students can be seen in their opportunities for dual enrollment, traditional, transfer, military, international and graduate students. UIU students often juggle multiple commitments outside of their educational pursuits, and the flexible schedule helps students succeed.

The UIU-NAS Meridian center offers day, evening, and weekend classes in a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate degree programs. You can also blend your degree plan with online and self-paced courses that travel with you as you serve your country here or overseas. UIU’s unique Two-at-a-Time course schedule helps you focus on your studies. You only need to take two classes during each 8- or 6-week session which helps you concentrate and excel.  UIU gives you access to courses year-round, so you can complete your degree on your schedule. They offer all active duty soldiers a tuition rate of $250 per credit hour for undergraduate courses. They offer the Military Family Grant for all active-duty military spouses and dependents. They offer the Patriot Grant for all veteran and active DOD card holders. UIU accepts tuition assistance, veteran’s educational benefits, scholarships, and Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts (MyCAA).

 

 

“As Center Director of UIU NAS Meridian, I personally enjoy doing business in the city and surrounding areas for a multitude of reasons,” says Dr. Elizabeth Harmon Threatt. “I was born and raised in Meridian, and after spending 6 years in Cincinnati, OH, earning my Master’s and PhD, my husband and I returned home. As a military spouse, I recognize just how important it is to give back to our spouses and dependents. Additionally, it’s exciting to offer UIU’s many programs, degrees, and opportunities as a new member of the educational offerings for higher education in this area. Meridian has a feeling and an atmosphere of its own – a unique flavor that sets it apart from other communities, and UIU wants to merge into that mien and become a recognized and respected member. We hope to give back to the community and develop connections within the greater Meridian area. Membership with the Chamber of Commerce is an integral part of getting to know the community of Meridian and gaining a sense of what makes Meridian a unique, thriving, location. It allows us to grow, both as a university center and as a part of the educational resources for all Meridianites. The Chamber provides those avenues and helps pave the way for our business to share the opportunities we provide and ensures that Upper Iowa University becomes a recognized name within the community.”

With 23 convenient locations around the world, offering programs with paper and web-based formats, or six-month courses with start dates each month, over 4500 students have chosen UIU for their higher education.
