Coming soon to a theater near you!  Have you ever been out of town and gone to a movie and just luxuriated in the plush surroundings of the theater?  Well, you can do that at home now, because Golden Ticket is bringing back that captivating theater experience that we’ve been wanting!  Golden Ticket is adding luxury reclining seating to the auditoriums and expanding food and beverage offerings!!  Hopefully opening, at Uptown Meridian, by the end of 2020. 

HYPE Adventures is another new attraction at Uptown Meridian for everyday adventurers of all ages.  Jump, climb, race, and throw your way through 93,000 square feet of awesomeness!  Trampolines, climbing walls, ropes course, jump tower, laser tag, batting cages and even axe-throwing are available.   There are so many things to do you might not be able to fit it all into one day! 

In 1997, Bonita Lakes Mall successfully opened with every possible accolade that the community could give them.  Four years ago, RockStep Capital purchased the mall and is making every attempt to keep the mall viable in the ever changing marketplace that retail faces today.  They have space for retail, entertainment, fitness, business, distribution, restaurants and more, and merchants are always looking for new employees.  Most people think the rent is out of their reach, but it’s actually extremely affordable. 

If you want to open a new business, Debby Delshad, Uptown Meridian’s Marketing and Events Coordinator suggests, “Do your homework.  Go and talk to the small business folks at MSU Business school downtown.  They have the knowledge to advise you and get you on the right path.  Established business owners in Meridian are also generous with their knowledge and experience.  And every business should join the chamber.  Their support is extremely important.  Just knowing I can pick up the phone and ask a business or community question and get the right answer is tremendously helpful.  We also stay in close contact with the City and County administration and appreciate all they do to promote Meridian and Lauderdale County.”

What are the advantages of shopping malls?  They have their own parking facilities, there is a wide variety of products available, there are products from competing producers available under one roof, they have facilities such as restrooms, they have gaming zones, there are food courts with a wide variety of cuisine, and there are movie theaters in shopping centers.  With the opening of HYPE Adventures and a holiday opening planned for the newly renovated theater, Uptown Meridian offers most everything you could want under one roof.
