“I Got It At Woodstock!”

When you have a dream, a desire, and a will… nothing can stand in your way. Scott and Bailey Honeycutt certainly had that and more, but what they needed was financing. So they sold their house and a car and used that money to start Woodstock Furniture. Woodstock began as a furniture manufacturing facility in the fall of 1978, doing custom built solid wood pieces. They then opened a small showroom in 1979. They moved to the Design Center on Hwy 39 in June, 1989. Even though the Honeycutts didn’t push their sons to be a part of the family business, David and Grant graduated college and jumped right in. With their help, by 2007, Woodstock was expanding. 

Things continued on the upswing with the opening of the Value Center and Mattress Express in 2007. Madison Row Gallery, opened in 2008.  In 2012, the Hattiesburg Mattress Express opened and in 2019, Woodstock opened its Clearance Outlet. The Philadelphia Value Center Store is coming in the spring of 2021, bringing the total locations to seven and employing 65 people.

David Honeycutt says, “Most furniture stores cover one category and specific price point. We cover everything. It’s impossible to shop our stores and not find something you will like. Our employees are fantastic and work hard. People I know that come in the store or shop when I’m out, tell me about their good experiences with our staff. We can’t guarantee that people aren’t going to have problems, but we can guarantee as long as we know about it, we will take care of it. If you don’t take care of your customer, someone else will. Customer service is a lost art.”

Woodstock Furniture is a chamber member because they feel it’s important to know and keep up with what is going on the community, and to be as involved as possible. Being a three generation family business, they are deeply committed to the community. David’s sons are now working in the business when they are home from college. 

Woodstock is a retail furniture store selling everything furniture related for the home. Bedroom, living room, dining room, kitchen, mattresses, accessories, rugs, lamps, and custom ordered upholstery are all available at Woodstock. You can always hear customers proudly say, “I got it at Woodstock!”
